Pendant les années 1940, Bellegarde construit sa première patinoire de curling.
Les archives de 1947 mentionnent qu'un bonspiel a pris place. Avec la nouvelle patinoire de 1978 vient la nouvelle glace de curling, celle-ci est restée active jusqu'en 2006. Le comité ne pouvait plus la maintenir après cela, de plus, la communauté de curling n'était plus active.
| During the 1940s, Bellegarde built their first curling rink.
The archives of 1947 mention that a bonspiel took place. With the new rink in 1978 came new curling ice that remained active until 2006, which is when the board was no longer able to maintain it and the curling community was no longer active.

Durant ses années d'ouverture, la patinoire de Bellegarde a accueilli un bonspiel de famille pendant le carnaval d'hiver.
Ce tournoi annuel de curling a amené les familles à participer à la compétition, et à profiter des festivitées. Cela servait comme prélèvement de fonds pour maintenir la patinoire.
De 2006 à 2017, l'Association Communautaire de Bellegarde accueilli chaque année un événement Jam Can pour les enfants de 5 à 12 ans afin de leur enseigner comment jouer le curling. Ce mini-tournoi se fait sur la glace de la patinoire.
| During it's years of operation, the Bellegarde rink hosted an annual family bonspiel during the winter carnival.
This annual curling tournament brought families out to compete and enjoy the festivities, and also served as a fundraiser to maintain the rink costs.
From 2006-2017, the Bellegarde Community Francophone Association hosted a yearly Jam Can event for ages 5 to 12 to learn to curl on the skating ice.
