| La première patinoire / The First Rink |
Les premieres parties de hockey ont été jouées sur la crique durant les années 1930s. Ces patinoires dans le grand ouvert étaient construites avec des murs de glace au sud du presbytère. Les blocs de glaces étaient entre 7 à 8 pouces d'épaisseur et environ 2 x 4 de large. Charrier la glace prennent deux à trois hommes avec des pics a glace. Ils glissaient les blocs sur le crique pour se rendre a leur cheval et wagon. Ils mettaient les blocs de glace sur leurs côtes pour faire des murs de 7 à 8 pouces d’épaisseur et environ 3 pieds de haut.
Il n'y avait pas de lumière alors les jeux étaient limités à être pendent le jour. Il n'y avait pas de lieu où les joueurs pouvaient se réchauffer ou se changer.

The first hockey games were played on the creek in the 1930s. These open air rinks were made with walls of ice blocks and located south of the rectory. The ice blocks were cut from the creek about 7 to 8 inches thick and about 2 x 4 wide. Hauling ice took two or three men with ice hooks, working them down aside on the creek bed to a horse and stoneboat. They followed this by standing the ice blocks on their sides to form a 7 to 8 inches thick wall and were piled about 3 feet high.
They had no lights and limited their games to daytime. They also had no place to change so a granry was moved in, allowing players to change and keep warm.

Pendant les années de 1945, une patinoire extérieure pour le curling a été construite au nord de la présente école. Une patinoire régulière a aussi été construite au nord de l'église pendant les année 1950 sur le terrain de l'école.

The first curling rink was built in Bellegarde in the 1940s. Around 1945, They built the open air skating rink in town to the north of where the school is now. They also built one later, north of the church and in the 1950s in the schoolyard.

| Nouvelle patinoire / New Rink |
Les plans pour une patinoire ainsi que deux glaces pour le curling commencent en 1965. Le projet a fini par coûter environ 60 000$. La patinoire célèbre son overture le 5 Février 1967 avec plus de 700 invités.
Des ajouts ont prit place en 1978 et des rénovations en 2014.

Plans for a skating rink and two sheet of curling ice began in 1967. The project cost approximately $60,000. The grand opening was held Sunday, February 5th 1967, with 700 guests.
By 1978 an addition was needed and renovations were made in 2014.

| Équipes de Hockey / Hockey Teams |
À travers les années, la patinoire fut un centre de plusieurs équipes de hockey pour la jeunesse, en plus d'une équipe pour les femmes.
Les équipes: Big 6 Bellegarde, Alouettes Old Timers and Bellegarde Flying Frenchmen.

Over the years, the rink was home to many minor league hockey teams as well as a women's hockey team.
The teams were: Big 6 Bellegarde, Alouettes, Bellegarde Flying Frenchmen and Bellegarde Alouettes Old Timers.

En 2016, la patinoire est très active pendant l'hiver pour le patinage publique et le hockey, les flying frenchmen.
